American Creek Camp
Oct, 2005 - 3rd Rifle Hunt

Taking a trophy elk is the thrill of a lifetime. CS offers excellent elk hunting on two separate divisions of the ranch. The Headquarters/Crow Creek area encompasses both river bottoms and pinion and cedar foothills. This area can be hunted either by walking or from a truck.

The American Creek camp is located in the Eagle Nest/Angel Fire area about 40 miles west of Cimarron, NM. The base cabin is at 10,000 feet elevation and the hunting area ranges up to 12,500 feet. This is definitely a high altitude hunt in beautiful, rugged high mountain country. Hunters need to be in good physical shape to hunt this area.

Hunting parties are limited to 2-3 hunters per hunt at the American Creek camp and no more than four at the Headquarter’s camp. Our success rate is extremely high. We pride ourselves on the quality of our hunts and will do everything possible to insure that your hunt is a success.

Hunters are lodged in rustic, yet very comfortable cabins with all modern conveniences. Our camp cooks prepare excellent family style meals.

An archery elk hunt is truly one of the most exciting and challenging hunts available. This hunt takes place during the rutting season in September, when the elk are bugling. The CS Ranch is featured in one of Stoney Wolf Production's hunt videos titled "Archery Elk - The Dream Hunt". Viewing this video will give you a firsthand look at our country.
